Healthy and Flavorful Quinoa
Categories: nutrition, Personal Development, Recipes
So this time of year is my time to get lean. Which means eating the same ol same ol and always being hungry. But its also when I get real creative in the kitchen. I look for natural ways to flavor my food without a bunch of salt, fat, etc. Today I struck gold with this Quinoa recipe. By no means am I a seasoned chef, so if I can do it, so can you!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Organic Whole Grain Quinoa
2 Cups Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth
1 Jalapeno
2 Teaspoon Organic Garlic Olive Oil (Trader Joes)
Diced Red Onion (optional)
Dash of Pepper
Preparation:
Put Quinoa and Chicken broth into pan, bring to boil. Add in diced jalapeno, onion, and pepper. Bring to simmer and cover for about 20-30 minutes until water is evaporated. And its as simple as that! Serve with a lean protein, today i did Tilapia, and a vegetable, today I did Kale. Now you have yourself a easy, healthy, flavorful dish. It took me about 30 min from beginning to end but I made extra quinoa to last me a few more days so time is no excuse! Stay healthy my friends….
